Microtransit is a flexible and dynamic demand-response shared-ride service for the public. At Medstar, riders select a vehicle through the GOIN' app or our call center to pick them up and drop them off at their destination. Flexible payment options are available.

Medstars’ call centers are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. Our agents are available to answer your questions, make reservations, and provide assistance & support. Currently, Medstar’s call centers support nearly 200,000 calls annually with an average wait time of fewer than 25 seconds.
Medical transportation

Medicaid is a federal and state-run program that provides health coverage to eligible low-income adults, children, pregnant women, elderly adults, and people with disabilities. Medstar works with several state Medicaid brokers and offers transit services to Medicaid-eligible individuals.

Long-distance Drive for Non-emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT)
Are you unable to travel to a healthcare or medical facility due to its location using public or private transportation? Well, you don't have to worry about it anymore! Medstar Transportation is now offering long-distance drive services for Non-emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT).
Long-distance drive ensures that clients arrive on time for their pharmacy, medical, urgent care, and hospital appointments, even if they are far from their destinations. It is intended for clients who cannot travel using public or private transportation because they are not licensed to drive, do not own a vehicle, or have physical, mental, or developmental reasons.
At Medstar, we provide safe, sanitized, and reliable rides based on your needs. We also have the medical equipment and training necessary to respond to unexpected medical circumstances while on the road.
