The Best in NEMT

In August, I traveled to Orlando for the NEMTAC conference to spend a few days learning from some of the best people and organizations in the Non-Emergency Medical Transportation industry.

One of the things I enjoy most about attending industry conferences is getting out of the day-to-day and seeing what others are doing. I spent a lot of time looking at new equipment, wheelchair securement systems, technology, and software solutions designed to make transportation safer and more efficient.

There was also a big focus on preventing fraud, waste, and abuse—a reminder that we all have to remain diligent in protecting the integrity of our industry and the services we provide.

It was interesting to see that things like cameras, GPS, and rear-loading minivans are becoming standard expectations across the industry. Fortunately, many of these are things we have been investing in for years.

It’s not always easy being ahead of the curve, but I believe it helps us secure our contracts, provide better service, and create opportunities for us to grow. The next curve is already here: AI, software development, and bringing it all together.

Thank you for your patience and support as we continue working through GOIN’ v4 and our updated procedures. Our team is working diligently on development, and we really appreciate the feedback we receive along the way. The goal is to build tools that make our jobs easier, improve communication, and ultimately help us provide better service.

At the conference, there were also plenty of opportunities to hear about best practices from providers and industry leaders around the country. It was a good reminder that there is always something we can improve—whether that’s safety, driver training, the passenger experience, technology, or the way we support our employees and contractors.

I came home with new ideas about how technology and AI can help us improve the way we operate. The NEMT industry is changing quickly, and I believe the companies that continue to learn, adapt, and invest in better ways of doing things will be in the best position to serve our passengers in the years ahead.

Most importantly, I brought those ideas home with me. Conferences like NEMTAC aren’t just about what happens in Orlando—they’re about taking what we learn and finding ways to make us even better at what we do.

Our goal remains simple: Better Every Day.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to represent us at NEMTAC and to continue learning from others who are working every day to improve.
